ماه رجب یکی از پرفضیلت ترین ماههای سال است به طوری که پروردگار این ماه را در میان بهترین ماهها معرفی کرده است . استجابت دعا در این ماه با ذکر و نماز های خاص ممکن می شود.ماه رجب ، ماه ولایت و امامت، ماهی است که رحمت گسترده الهی بر بندگانش جاری می شود. رسول خدا (ص) در این خصوص می فرماید:

هان! ماه رجب و ماه شعبان دو ماه من هستند و ماه رمضان ماه امتم. آگاه باشید، هر که یک روز از ماه رجب را با ایمان و اخلاص روزه بگیرد، مستوجب رضوان بزرگ الهی می شود و روزه اش در آن روز بی گمان خشم خداوند را فرو می نشاند و دری از درهای دوزخ را بر روی خویش می بندد و اگر به اندازه گستره زمین، زر به او داده شود برتر از روزه اش نخواهد بود و پاداش این روزه هرگز با حسنات دنیوی قابل مقایسه نیست جز این که باید اخلاص داشته باشد و برای تقرب به خدای عزوجل انجام داده باشد و همانا شب هنگام، ده دعایش مورد استجابت قرار می گیرد.
